Trip & Excursion

To see and experience new sights and sounds is an invaluable learning opportunity. The students will be taken on regular outings to enhance their world view, which includes:-

  • Educational Trips – Visits to museums, monuments and civic facilities like post office, printing press etc.
  • Picnics/Excursions – These are planned regularly to keep our children in touch with nature and to express the joie de vivre of childhood.
  • Outstation Trips – To inculcate appreciation for the cultural and geographical richness and diversity of our country, outstation trips are organized for students from class IV onwards.

  • ‘Travelling is an amazing way to learn a lot of things in life’

    The educational tour to Pune was organized for the students of Delhi Public School Civil Lines and Delhi Public School Aligarh, aimed at providing a valuable learning experience beyond the classroom. The tour took place from 28th May to 4th June 2023. The journey commenced from Delhi's Nizamuddin Railway Station, and the students were accommodated in a comfortable hotel upon reaching Pune. The first day involved exploring the picturesque sceneries of Lonavala and Khandala, followed by a thrilling visit to Imagica Water Park, enjoyed by both students and teachers. The group then proceeded to Panchgani, a charming hill station, where they visited popular attractions like Parsi Point, Table Land, and Venna Lake. The itinerary also included a visit to a renowned Shiva temple in Old Mahabaleshwar and the famous Mapro Factory known for its jams and fruit products. The trip concluded with a visit to the historic Aga Khan Palace in Pune, which served as a prison during the Indian freedom movement. The students returned to Aligarh with delightful memories, having developed a greater appreciation for nature and enriched their knowledge of geography, flora, and fauna. The educational tour proved to be a rejuvenating and joyful experience for both students and teachers.

  • KHET CAMP 2022-23
  • "Travelling is a part of education’. An excursion is not just a pleasure trip; it enhances the knowledge of the students beyond the four walls of the classroom”

    To provide such an enriching experience to students, one day adventure camp at KHET Camp - an adventure village at Greater Noida, was organised in two slots i.e. on 21st October 2022 and on 2nd November 2022, for the students of classes 6 to 8 of Delhi Public School Civil lines Aligarh. Educational tours are part and parcel of the life of students. Students need rest and entertainment after a monotonous routine for many days.

    On arrival at Khet Camp, the students were welcomed by the hospitable staff of the camps by marking a tilak on their forehead and tying a friendly band on their wrists. They were divided into four groups to allow maximum participation. Each group had a trained instructor and a teacher incharge alongwith. The activities were well planned. Excitement could be easily spotted on the students’ faces. The camp site was away from the urban noise and was a peaceful experience. Music and dance in the evening added to the students’ happiness.

    Adventurous activities like trekking, fox flying, tractor ride, pottery, shooting rejuvenated their frayed spirits. The children participated with zeal and were delighted when they completed each activity. The students managed to cross the Zip Line confidently. Various skills like leadership, decision making, managing fear and team work were addressed to them by professional and experienced instructors. Students had a joyful experience. The camp concluded with unforgettable memories.

  • DUBAI TRIP 2022-23
  • "Experience knows no Boundaries"

    We live in the era of globalisation and keeping this in mind DPS Civil line Aligarh had planned a Trip to Dubai. The 6 days long trip has taken children to a new level of experiential learning. From learning the etiquette of checking in the hotel to exchanging currency they did it all on their own. They also got the opportunity to explore and discover new cultures, new people and new friends. Here’s the list of places covered during the 6 days of their adventure:

    Day1: Started with checking-in the hotel and then went on a yacht at Marina bay. The yacht tour was followed by dinner.

    Day 2: During the day, they went for a city tour and in the evening all of them went for dessert safari.

    Day 3: This day was all about Dolphin show, Dinosaur Park, Magic Park and wow garden. Later, during the day children got the chance to meet Lana Rose and Angry Prash famous You Tubers. Not only this, they also got a chance to shoot a music video with Lana Rose.

    Day 4: The day started with water rides. Later, during the day went to Ski Dubai and Mall of Emirates.

    Day 5: The day started with fun filled activities conducted in the hotel. Later, during the day they all went to IMG one of the biggest theme park.

    Day 6: Last day was all about learning to check out from the hotel and reach out to Sharjah airport.

    All in all it was a trip full of opportunities to explore and discover.

  • EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO MUSSOORIE 2022-23
  • "Travelling is a part of education"

    An excursion is not just a pleasure trip. it enhances the knowledge of the students beyond the four walls of the classroom. To provide such an enriching experience to students, a joint tour was organised for the students of Delhi Public School Civil lines and Delhi Public school Aligarh. The Educational tours are part and parcel of the life of students. Students needed rest and entertainment after working hard for many days. The fun filled excursion provided them solace and helped them form an escape route from the tedium of Pandemic. It was organised from 31 st May to 4 June.

    As soon as the students reached MUSSOURIE they were transferred to the camping resort which was beautiful, calm and with greenery all around. This resort had a lot of outdoor activities for kids. It also has a small kempty fall of its own. On arrival, the students were welcomed by the hospitable staff of the camps. They were divided into groups to allow maximum participation. The activities were well planned. Excitement could be easily spotted on the students’ faces. Trek in the local area, away from the urban noise was a peaceful experience. The sight from the camp was breath-taking. Bonfire, music and dance in the evening added to the students’ happiness

    A hike to the Shiva temple at the top of a mountain was tiring but the view from the top was captivating and provided a lifetime experience to the students Adventurous activities like trekking, fox flying, rappelling and rock-climbing session on natural rocks rejuvenated their frayed spirits. The Nature walk and bird watching session was something new for the students. Tree climbing activities, tug of war, preparation of Maggie paved the way to team work and companionship. The children participated with zeal and were delighted when they completed each task. Every activity aimed at honing a different skill. The students managed to cross the Zip Line confidently. while indulging in the activities like Rappelling, Wall Climbing etc. Various skills like leadership, decision making, managing fear and team work were addressed to them by professional and experienced instructors.

    Students developed love for nature and got real happiness when they got a chance to visit ‘FRI DEHRADUN’. They enriched their knowledge about flora and fauna, herbal plants and sought geographical information. Students had a joyful experience. The camp concluded with unforgettable memories.it was truly rejuvenating for students as well as teachers.

  • SUMMER EDUCATIONAL TOUR TO DARJEELING 2019-20
  • DPS Civil Lines always promotes its children to have exposure of various geographic features, culture and to study different climates, modes of occupation etc. by organizing the educational tours along with the process of class room learning.

    • On 28 May, 2019 a group of DPS CL children and teachers left for the summer educational tour to Darjeeling and Gangtok.
    • The experience of the diversity of weathers, languages, lifestyles and visits to Tea garden, Tsomgo, Rumtek Monastery, Tiger hills, Ghoom Monastery and Nm Nang point made the students' learning real and colorful and as a result enriched them fully through this experiential learning.
    • The view of hills and Snow-clad Himalayan ranges, the sight of tea estates are captured in the cameras and looking too good to be real.
    • It's time to return with undoubtedly a mesmerizing and memorable experience and unforgettable memories of sightseeing, shopping, having fun while traveling and mouth watering meals.
  • INDO FRENCH CULTURAL PROGRAMME- TRIP TO FRANCE 2019-20
  • Exchange programmes are an effective way to build bridges of understanding among students of different countries. Twenty one students along with two teachers got an opportunity to visit “LyceeOzanam Lille and Lycee EPIL Lille, France” in the month of November 2019. The cultural exchange programme started on 27th November 2019. The students not only enjoyed but also brought back a lot of thoughtful learning.

    Living within the homely setup, the Indian students experienced the French way of life and the French culture. They attended classes with their French partners. Indian delegates participated in all the activities like science, sports and social with great zeal and enthusiasm. The French famlies did their best to make the Indian students feel comfortable. Some students prepared Indian food with the help of their French partner and the family got a taste of Indian food.

    The delegation team learnt that there was no servant system in France and everyone worked diligently, whether at home or office. The French people spent hours on the dining table and they loved to talk. Students noticed that French people followedthe left hand driving system whereas in India we follow the right hand driving system. Students also liked the no-uniform policy of the school. The delegation was told that talking about politics; religion is strictly prohibited in the school premises. The French people follow the traffic rules strictly and they don’t blow the horn until and unless it is an emergency. The cultural learning was enhanced by the excursion tour to BELGIUM. In all, the students got an opportunity to know and discover their true inner selves, the importance of team work, their very own hidden qualities while handling themselves without their parents and families . They got a chance to participate, perform and groom themselves on an international platform.

    The sight of the Eiffel Tower, Panoramic Tour By bus, Nausicaa , Cap-Gris-Nez and Cap-Blanc- Nez and Disney land mesmerized the students. On 12th December, 2019 Indian delegates retuned to India with many emotional an unforgettable memories of France.
